As a blogger aspiring to do things for my local community and for the Readers & Followers of Empowered Results,  I took advantage of purchasing extra school supplies to give to my grandson’s homeroom teacher (ssssh! It’s a surprise).  In addition, I have created an Empowered Results ‘Piggy Bank’  (ERPB) for future contributions to both my local and blog communities!   I look forward to sharing more of my progress in the future.  I encourage all of you to do the same in your local communities and your sector of the blogosphere!

As for anyone interested in the history of Tax Free Weekend/Week, I found the following site  during a surf search regarding the list of states that have been participating in this event. It appears this tax free event began about 2006. Check out the following links below for the states which have been participating in this event. If your state has not been participating, you should contact your local state representative/congressperson to request that he or she initiate sales tax holiday legislation for your area.

More on the tax holiday:
Yours truly!

I don’t go out in the stores as I used to do, however I’m fully aware of the tax free week end and gladly contributes to my grandaughter’s school supplies.

Ditto about going to stores…but always a pleasure to shop for the grandchild! Tomorrow, I go looking for soccer shoes for him. He expressed his interest in play the sport. So, I thought I will get the shoes and a ball.
